The Long's Court scenario arises because those responsible for overseeing our needs as a community ignored our possible needs and subscribed to the system of exploitation and maximum profit to a few.
HCC sold the old library site  to a very high bidder who then has to get maximum number of dwellings and associated car park spaces on the site. Their plan erodes the quality of our life and is being objected to rigorously.HCC gets maximum profit to feed its overhead and some of it was put into the library. The result of the planning meeting to come will be a very good indicator of what philosophies are strong in BDBC.

Apparently one of the biggest risks is to do with the sea warming just a bit. Then all the methane down in there will immediately enter the atmsopsphere and that will be the immediate end of all higher life forms including Homo sapiens. This forum will go very silent.

I always admire the Victorians with their cost effective, well -planned and substantially built urban landscapes.
Nothing wrong with extra houses, if they were around now they would be putting in well built, well insulated terraces with shared eco friendly ground-heat recovery energy sources with all gutters running to storage tanks.Solar roofs would provide much of the eletricity needed and all would have a shared aerated toilet composting sewage system so no-on would need to pay sewage rates.Once a certain number of dwellings had been planned there would be a shop included and peripheral street trees wouldsoften the built effect. If this configuration is multiplied up to a certain number a local park would be included and a post office .

The ancients believed that if you were lucky you grew into your name. Generally our names are given to us in a magical spiritual way. When the future parents say "What shall we call it ?" They do not subscribe to logic and say "Child Number 3750. No they make an intuitive decision and choose boy and girl names.

The names are applied when you are born. You have to consider carefully when you shorten your name for you are casting off valuable intuits that lie in every letter.

Using false names is very bad karma.

I think one should always celebrate what one's parents invested in us.Much of it was done in total innocence.

How petty can one get  (The real Michelle)

Tylney is actually our cat - and she allows us both to use her name for the forum and such like, that's why we sign our names after a post. It's child's play to understand and easier for us as husband and wife, with one computer, not to have to keep swapping user names.

Ian/Michelle/Tylney1??
