Where: Parish Hall
Romantic comedy - Meeting up again at their son’s graduation, Jane (Meryl Streep) and Jake (Alec Baldwin) find themselves oddly attracted to each other after ten years of divorce and embark on an affair
It’s complicated because Jake is remarried to a younger wife and Jane’s eye has been caught by the romantically-minded architect (Steve Martin) who is remodelling her house
While it looks and sounds like a chick-flick, complete with Jane and her mates having big girlie nights in to discuss sex and men over glasses of wine, it's a film that feels both familiar and fresh

Moviola Film - Single Man - 12A
When: 7.30pm Doors open 7pm
Where: Parish Hall
Colin Firth (BAFTA Best Actor) as George Falconer, a gay English professor in Los Angeles in 1962, whose life is thrown into turmoil when he gets a call to say that his boyfriend Jim (Matthew Goode) has died in a car crash
It's one of Jim's relatives who does him the courtesy of letting him know - but in 1960s California, although the loss might be understood, it's not socially accepted, and George is devastated not to be invited to the funeral
Directed by Tom Ford, it’s based on the novel by Christopher Isherwood and condenses George’s story into one emotion- and event-charged day, following him from the loneliness of his morning, day and transformative night

Ryan Bingham (George Clooney) describes himself as a “termination facilitator”. When corporations need to downsize quickly but hate the mess, he flies in and breaks the news to the new former employees
He lives out of a suitcase, racks up the frequent flyer miles (his ambition is to reach 10 million), and has an intermittent relationship with businesswoman Alex Goran (Vera Farmiga) who shares his no-strings attitude - he loves every minute
Witty, pertinent and moving, this is a sophisticated treat from a director who gets exponentially better with every picture. But it’s Clooney that makes it soar with his most accomplished acting to date” Total Film
Tickets £5 from John Dennett & The Handbag Shop (from mid Jun) and on the door - Bar
